As I begin a new part of my life, having retired at the end of the year, I find myself with the strong desire to continue to do what I've been doing for the past 47 1/2 years: sharing God's Word! I am hoping to record a podcast once a week, and to write a blog "as the Spirit moves." So much is going on in our world and so many are living "having no hope and without God in the world" (Ephesians 2:12).
The familiar words of II Timothy 3:16-17 come to mind: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man (or woman) of God may be complete (mature), equipped for every good work."
God doesn't just save us by the blood of Christ as the Spirit regenerates us and we believe in Jesus, He has a purpose for our lives as we live in the world for His glory. I'm guessing that more than 90% of the human race (probably underestimating) either don't know or think very little about the purpose of their lives. Do you? The purpose of reading God's Word and knowing what He says is that you learn to know HIM and His plan and your place in it. Do you know that?? Or are you just wandering through life like so, so many people around you. It's understandable for those who remain spiritually dead, bit if you have trusted in Jesus Christ and know your Father in heaven, you know there's more to life than just "getting through it." You are here to serve the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ ... and the time is short.
I've written about end times and have a book entitled, " ... the end." As time allows, I will try to make it available for those who would like to purchase it, and I will also be going through some of the signs and details from God's Word on my podcast in the weeks and months ahead. In addition, I'll be commenting on some of the things going on in the world around us, pointing you to what God says in His Word. What I might think is just another opinion, and everyone has one, but God's Word is different. God teaches us the way to go, reproofs and corrects us when we head the wrong direction, and trains us in the way of righteousness ... obedience to His righteous commands, which are always GOOD!
I pray that everyone who reads my words on this blog will hear God speaking through HIS Word, the only truth you need to know the one true God, to love Him, and then to serve Him until you see Him face-to-face ... a privilege reserved only for those who confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. I pray that is YOU!!
